For the first time we faced some of New Zealand's infamous rainy weather. Though it wasn't so bad, for most of our hike it was not actually raining. I certainly had flashbacks to working in Ketchikan in Alaska though, hiking through a down pour.

If I put all the pictures of ferns that I took on this blog, I would fill up pages and pages and then a few more pages. And that is with not being able to take pictures in the rain. |

This was at the end of the hike, the sun peaked nicely out from the clouds to light up the Pa site. |
Who knew the cross section of these palm trees (fern tree maybe?) looked like this? I didn't! |
