The day after we visited Lake Matheson, renowned for having the best lake reflections, we camped at a DOC site on another lake. To be fair to Lake Matheson, we weren't there when it was really calm, but I think this lake would give it a run for its money.

My daily breakfast! Oatmeal with a variety of seeds and fruit. Yum! Especially on those chilly mornings. |
After leaving our campsite we drove to a site that had both a beach walk and a walk along the stream in a forest. I was loving all the interesting plant life.

The great stone skipper. Not to be confused with the boat captain who was made of rock. |
