Morning and evening reflections

The day after we visited Lake Matheson, renowned for having the best lake reflections, we camped at a DOC site on another lake.  To be fair to Lake Matheson, we weren't there when it was really calm, but I think this lake would give it a run for its money.

Notice the fish jumping out of the water near the right hand shore.

My daily breakfast!  Oatmeal with a variety of seeds and fruit. Yum! Especially on those chilly mornings.

After leaving our campsite we drove to a site that had both a beach walk and a walk along the stream in a forest.  I was loving all the interesting plant life.

Human ears anyone?

Cool color gradient.

Swamp plant.

Beachy grasses.

And the deceased.

"I could be homeless here." Dad made the claim about anywhere that looked like he would happily take a nap.

"Me too".  Kelly loves her interesting rock formations, especially bed shaped ones.

Happy little clouds.

Kelly's zen activity.  If you pay attention to the stones, you won't notice the mosquitoes right?
Wrong.

The great stone skipper. Not to be confused with the boat captain who was made of rock.

I love going to sleep and waking to a great view.
